Every project starts somewhere. This one started with a tired steel door, hidden behind ornate iron screens — functional but completely wrong for the home it was in.
What replaced it was built entirely by hand in our Powell shop — a complete Sapele mahogany entry system fabricated from a local architect’s design plan. Door, full sidelights, transom lights, and a custom surround, all strapped to a cart and ready for delivery. The door itself is 2.5 inches thick — nearly 50% thicker than a standard exterior door. You can feel the difference the moment you touch it.
Every component was hand-built, fitted, and finished before it ever left the shop. On installation day, it went in as a single unit — one piece, one statement.
